I have committed my life to the Lord 53 years as of 2014, and have served as an elder in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 44 years. I have been richly blessed by the Lord all these years, but my greatest blessing is how the Lord has used me to lead precious souls to him through bible study, counseling and baptism. My prayer is that we will be encouraged by the words of the Psalmist David: "O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing to the Lord, all the earh. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; Proclaim the good news of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among all nations, His wonders among all people." Psalm 96:1-3, N.K.J.V

Elder Edeline Clarke
I am truly humbled to serve as an elder of the Poinciana Seventh Day Adventist Church. This experience has enriched and strengthened my walk with God. I strive to become more and more like Jesus as I continue to work in His service. Like Jabez, I have asks God to enlarge my territory, and that His hand might be with me.
1 Chronicles 4:10. It is my desire to be in his kingdom when He comes with my fellow believers.

Pastor Earnest Flowers

Elder Jacqueline Hinds
I am humbled at the opportunity of serving the Poinciana SDA Church as an elder. Leadership in God’s church is characterized by humility and loving service. By the grace of God, it is my desire to be a servant leader, willing to be led by the Holy Spirit to enhance the spiritual growth and wellbeing of the church. While leading in this capacity is never an easy undertaking, I have come to realize that “abiding in the vine” is my source of strength as I face the various challenges.
Poinciana SDA church is poised to accomplish great things as we center our actions on the mission of the church-“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”. Matthew 28:19-20

Our Leaders
Spiritual Leadership – The elders are spiritual not only in their personal lives, but spiritual leaders to the congregation. 1 Timothy 3:2, 3
Their spiritual leadership will be demonstrated by participating in church services, special events (e.g., communion, prayer meeting) and evangelistic meetings; giving Bible studies; facilitating conflict resolution between members; and assisting in church membership actions.
General Oversight – The elders provide general oversight and leadership in different church activities and departments. Acts 11:30
This general oversight and leadership is accomplished by assigning an elder (or more) to each church team ministry.
Nurturing – The elders work as under shepherds in addition to the pastors. Church members will establish long-term relationships with elders due to the very nature of pastoral movement within the Seventh-day Adventist church. They will also have a clear understanding of the church’s mission, purpose. and goals. Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:2
Elder Daniel Dion
Elder Daniel Donne started attending Faith SDA in Hartford Connecticut in 1980 after a co-worker invited him to church. He was subsequently baptized in 1981.
Elder Dionne has held many positions in the church, Deacon, Head Deacon, Prison Ministries Leader and later President of Prison Ministries for Northeastern Conference of SDA, New England area, Men’s Ministry Leader, Personal Ministry Leader, and Assistant Sabbath School Superintendent. He loves being a Sabbath School teacher but most of all he is proud that he is a child of God.
In 1995, Elder Dionne was re-baptized in the Jordan River. He loves the Lord Jesus and wants nothing more than to be saved in His Kingdom.
His favorite song is “Blessed Assurance”, while John 14:1-3 is his favorite Bible text.
Claudette Dionne is his beautiful wife, partner, mentor and friend.

Elder Dynesdal Wint
I am excited and humbled to serve as an Elder of the Poinciana Seventh-day Adventist church.
I feel that our church is providing an excellent array of ministries that serve our community and I believe we will reach out more in the future with efforts to form relationships that will allow us to bring others to the saving grace and knowledge of Christ.
I am excited about the direction of the church and the challenges before us. The goal of meeting the diverse needs of our church and the community at large is a daunting task and can only occur through effective spiritual leadership, and the church body working together through the influence of the Holy Spirit.
I consider it a privilege and honor to be a part of the Board of Elders and I am committed to serve in this capacity to the best of my ability with God’s help.
