Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It’s the place where we can be real with God, because He already knows us. In His presence we abandon pride, we embrace hope and we make our requests known. Prayer is the place of admitting to God our shortcomings, our weaknesses, our failures and knowing that we’re completely dependent on Him. Prayer is the practice of the Christian that is the essence of a relationship with Him. It’s the exercise of faith and hope; it’s the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through the Son of God, Jesus our Lord.
