How Do I Meet People?
Mount Zion SDA Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Mount Zion SDA Church.

Cell Group
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Mount Zion Church has small bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. At a time, designated by your group, you can participate in the small group study. Please contact the leadership for more information.

Youth Ministry
Each Sabbath morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers study throughout the week and are trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Mount Zion Church is recognized for their close interaction.

Community Service
To seek out and meet the needs of the Kissimmee Community by offering services that are both relevant and necessary.
Effective Community Services Directors Have:

2. The ability to organize and inspire volunteers
3. A passion for sharing Christ’s love
4. Patience with difficult people
5. The ability to sooth anxious hearts
6. A network of community contacts
7. A vision for what they want to accomplish
8. A longing to make a difference for Christ

Social Committee
To create an environment with entertainment for the young and the young at heart. We want to demonstrate to all we can have fun and socialize in a Christian environment.

Deacons
The Deacons are concerned with both the material and spiritual needs of the congregation, including the comfort of worshippers, security, and upkeep of church property. They minister to the sick and shut-in and have special responsibilities during the Communion and Baptism services.

Ushers
The usher team at Mt. Zion fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
