Mark 16:15 (Tech Ministries Version)

Mission Statement:

Christ has called every member of the church into ministry. Technology Ministry assists the church in spreading the gospel in our local area

as well as to all nations in an effective manor through the use of technology.

Goals and Objectives:

1. To use Technology to enhance the worship experience, broadcast Live on the internet for all to enjoy online access, to create an archive

of services to make available for visitors.

2. To successfully operate and manage all A/V components of the church and be effective in making the service a pleasant visual

    and audible experience.

3. To effectively cross train the team members to master a variety of components in technology and to serve in these capacities

    when short staffed.

4. To make DVD’s and CD’s available to all sick and shut-in members free and all others who so desire for a small contribution.

5. Stay on top of the latest developments in audio and video technology – study and recommend the purchase of new audio and

video equipment.  Decisions about price, warranty, and service for example, are made by this committee. Our recommendations

are then forwarded to the board for approval.

6. To train our youth to use their God given talents to learn the different areas of technology and be effective in enhancing the

    worship service.

7. Provide for the maintenance of the equipment that makes up the church’s technology and stay on top of the changes in

    technology.

Summary of the past/present activities:

  • Provided all sound operations for our weekly services, and capture all our memorable events such as Church Services, Crusades, International Weekend, Banquets, Concerts, etc. on video.

  • Build a church website that provides all the details needed to inform, encourage, direct, and evangelize.

  • Our meetings are unlike the norm – we have gathered to discuss tech issues in the church, tech room, the director’s home with a movie night to follow, and at a Disney resort with a dip in the lazy after. We enjoy what we do and enjoy each other’s company.

  • Our annual Christmas party is always held on the saturday night before Christmas for our present and former tech members. Former members share and interact with present team members to share their experiences and encourage. This special event has been in place for the past six years in efforts to add a social component to the activities of our team.

We endeavor to use effective means of contemporary technology and methods of communication to enhance the worship service and to reach and be an effective witness outside . our church in efforts to spread the gospel so all can come to the knowledge of the truth

  • In 2012, we moved our video room from our former church and created a new media / Green screen room in our new worship center.

  • A new sound booth was built in the rear of the worship center to serve our church in a more efficient manor.

  • Conducted a live 3 camera broadcast of our weekly church services on the web, distribute our weekly services on DVD and CD, and also trained in the area of audio visual, video production and techniques.

  • Assisted Southeastern Conference with video coverage in annual events – Prayer Conference, Women’s & Men’s Ministry weekends, Leadership Summit, MC Strahan Federation, and Campmeeting.

  • Some members served as assistants in video production for Hunt Productions, LLC in a variety of events including weddings, church service coverage at other congregations, funerals, concerts, and plays.

Looking ahead: Our team has enjoyed shooting commercials and presenting the announcements in the form of commercials for upcoming events and will continue to showcase them weekly. We are aiming to build our technology team to more volunteers and train them in effective technology ministries. We would also like to educate our church family in the area of technology through seminars/workshops. Start a film ministry. This endeavor will not only allow the members of this ministry to learn the different aspects of film making, but most important, to develop a ministry of short films available on DVD for spiritual and educational growth for all.
